50-50
LOTTERY
At
each Senators home game, a lucky fan has the opportunity to go
home with up to $20,000. Proudly presented by the Ottawa
Citizen, the 50-50 draw is a fund-raising program for the Ottawa
Senators Foundation, which is a registered Canadian charity that
provides funding and gifts-in-kind to other charities with a
focus on disadvantaged youth. The 50-50 tickets are on sale
prior to the game until the beginning of the second period. The
winning ticket number is announced half-way through the third
period and is also posted at Gate 1, near the ticket windows.
Winners must be present and are required to collect their prize
at Guest Services (Section #201) that night. Prizes left
unclaimed are donated to the Ottawa Senators Foundation.
Did
you know that the Sens Foundation, through its 50-50 lottery
program, was able to provide more than over $500,000 to
charitable organizations during its 2008-09 season? Just as
exciting was the opportunity for us to also award 43 fans with
more than $500,000 in combined winnings during this same period
of time! The best news of all is that we’re expecting nothing
less during our 2010-11 season and fans can win jackpots up to
an amazing $20,000.
Get
in on the game. Be sure to see one of our volunteer 50-50 lottery ticket sellers located throughout the building on game
night. These volunteers wearing bright yellow Sens jerseys sell
7 tickets for $10 and 3 tickets for $5. Even if you don’t end
up with the winning ticket, you’ve still scored for charity!
Special
thanks to our loyal fans who buy tickets each and every game, to
our dedicated team of volunteers who sell with a smile and to
our presenting sponsor the Ottawa Citizen and event partner
Pizza Pizza. Together we all make this 50-50 partnership a 100%
success story!
