During the week of May 9th to 15th the Special Olympics Flag was at
the Burnhamthorpe Community Centre in Mississauga where it was
  displayed  in the lobby for signatures, along with a display board and  
handouts outlining the various activities and programs that are
conducted by Special Olympics.

 On Monday May 9th there was a Flag Raising ceremony, with local
politicians,  dignitaries, Special Olympians, Knights, Fourth Degree
Honour Guard and students from the local school in attendance.

The Community Centre also conducted Boccie lessons
 for the public as part of their Flag Relay program as it
is one of the summer sports of Special Olympics.
