The Special Olympics flag was in Douro where Douro Council 11486
held their monthly breakfast in the St. Joseph's Parish Hall
and
displayed the flag for signing along with the book. They raised
monetary donations for the cause and had lots of parishioners
and Knights get involved. It was a great way to end the week
in our District.

The Special Olympics flag was at Our Lady of
Assumption
Parish with a flag signing after the 5:00 PM Mass. There
was a pulpit announcement after the Mass, along with
the opportunity to sign the flag and book in the Parish
Hall. A social, including displays and information, was
provide for the parishioners.

The Special Olympics flag was in Lakefield today
and Council 11924 organized a great afternoon at
St. Paul's School with a school assembly. Three
athletes and their coaches raised the flag indoors,
along with making a presentation. The Grand Knight
served as Master of Ceremonies and the District
Deputy, along with the Councillor for the Township,
spoke a few words about the program. There were
three members from Bishop Marrocco Assembly
#882
who served as an Honour Guard. This event was
covered by the local media with the flag and book
being signed, along with a social, after the event.

The Special Olympics flag was in Campellford at
Norwood
Council 8287 and St. Mary's Roundtable. There was a
flag-raising and an assembly in the gym of the primary
grades. There were two local Special Olympics coaches
and two athletes in attendance too. This event was
covered by the local media.

The Special Olympics flag was at St. Martin of Tours
Church, where after
the 9:00 AM Mass there was a gathering of some members of
Council
#10665 (Ennismore) to have the flag blessed, displayed and
signed
by those present. The log book was signed and a social
followed.
